Designating Administrative Roles
It’s always nice to be able to tell your employees what they should and should not do, and to have 100% trust that these guidelines will be upheld.
However, that simply isn’t always the case. The truth is, due to the sheer simplicity and speed of Object CMS, your entire collaboration could be sacrificed within a few clicks of the mouse, whether by accident or intentional sabotage.
For this reason, Object CMS was designed to grant absolute access values for each and every user. You can give one employee access to editing of Locations only, another access to adding Blocks or Menu items; permissions are designated for each possible action, with an “Allow” or “Deny” button for each. Examples of Permissions include Locations_Add, Locations_View, Locations_Edit, Locations_Delete, Blocks_Structure, Blocks_View, Menu_ View, etc. As you can see, access to each and every action can be explicitly Allowed or Denied by the system administrator.
You will of course be able to access each User, defining and adding roles through the “View Roles” and “Add Roles” sub-menu items in Object CMS. Next to the name of the User you wish to define Roles for, select “Edit Permissions For This Role”. Then click “Allow” or “Deny” for each Role you wish to permit.
